I took time off over Christmas, read cosy murder mysteries, ate my own weight in stollen and streamed 1940s detective films on the Criterion channel. But because that was all lovely, I am really rather grumpy about returning to work this week, even just being in my usually-beloved shed, and having to use my brain, even just a bit.
